Movie Synopsis:- Laathi showcases the sordid plight of a father after his retirement. Atindranath Bannerjee gets recognition
and farewell after long-term service in a local school. Using his laathi (stick) he protests and saves an old
woman from the lower strata of society being harassed on suspicion that she’s a kidnapper.
When his sons and daughters in laws harass him, he uses the same laathi to discipline them. But when his
youngest son marries without his knowledge, he shifts to a slum and starts teaching there. But his fight with
a laathi begins again when a political leader starts harassing him there.
