Mouchak

Directed by Arabinda Mukhopadhyay, ‘Mouchak’ is an acclaimed 1975 comic film. Uttam Kumar and Sabitri Chattopadhyay’s brilliant chemistry fuels this sweet film further. The film is a laugh riot and focuses on Nitish Roy, his wife and his brother Sitish. Sitish was much loved and pampered by his sister in law who treated him like her own son. However, Sitish got employed in a jute mill which was quite far from home. His sister in law did not want him to go there. The young and handsome Sitish is the most eligible bachelor in the town and many prosperous families want him to be their son in law. But Sitish falls in love with Nipa, the girl next door whose father is an ordinary school teacher. Nipa’s father does not agree to this marriage and after a lot of hilarious twists and turns, Sitish and Nipa are finally united after a lot of comic twists and turns. A must watch film for the entire family and a great stress buster from the monotony of life.
